BESPOKE IN HOUSE EVENTS
Kitchen by Mike is acclaimed chef Mike McEnearney’s award-winning restaurant in Sydney CBD. It is an extension of the home where our guests are seen as friends and family – given a warm welcome and some fantastic food.
Our ambient & urban space in the CBD can host up to 92 guests for a range of different events, from business breakfasts, lunches and dinners to corporate functions, birthday parties, weddings, EOFY events & more. You can book out our entire space for your own takeover making it exclusive to you.
Stand up, sit down, dance around, the room is adaptable for any occasion. We have an in-house PA system which you are welcome to use. The space is yours and we can be flexible to create an offering that suits your needs.
We have a range of options available depending on the style of event you are hosting; we create an arrival bar and you can opt for stand-up canapes or a sit-down soiree with one of Mike’s set menus or we can create bespoke grazing stations for you – we can safely say that the food will be a hit with your guests!

We have created plenty of off-site event experiences, from Mike’s giant Paella in Avalon for 40 people to serving 1600 people per night at the iconic Westpac Open Air Cinema, we can adapt to suit the party!
Mike & his team will travel to a venue of your choice and bring their KBM experience to you.
Kitchen by Mike has catered for large-scale events such as the
Westpac Openair cinema at Mrs Macquaries Chair (2021- 2024) looking after 1600 people, 7 nights a week, as well as setting up a pop-up fine dining restaurant for the Opera on the Harbour (2022 – 2024).

LARGE SCALE PUBLIC EVENTS & FESTIVALS
WESTPAC OPENAIR Since 2021
Kitchen by Mike has joined forces with Westpac and Cinerent to curate and provide the entire food offering for the Westpac Open Air Cinema. Every evening over the Sydney summer for 2 months, up to 1600 guests per night gather at the Westpac Open Air Cinema at Mrs Macquarie’s Point on Sydney’s iconic harbour. It is one of the highlights of the calendar year and booked out in advance.
Not only do guests watch new release and vintage movies, but can also, eat, drink and be merry, soaking up the spectacular Sydney Cityscape as the sun sets over the harbour bridge. Mike curates 3 different eating precincts to meet 3 ticket price points. The Point. A fast pace QSR experience featuring crowd favourites for 1000 people each night.
The Croser Garden - Signature Kitchen by Mike food to share with your friends, utilising QR code ordering technology for 480 people. Summer House Dining - Mike’s fine dining experience featuring food from Mike's favourite NSW producers and a natural wine focus. The perfect place to enjoy the view before the film and for major partners and sponsors to entertain their clients and guests. Seats 130 people.

OPERA AUSTRALIA - HSBC HANDA OPERA
Since the 2022 season of Phantom of the Opera from March 25th to April 24th Kitchen by Mike’s had partnered with Opera Australia at this wonderful event. Handa Opera is an open-air event for 3000 people each evening at Mrs Macquarie’s Point with the spectacular backdrop of the Sydney Cityscape as the sun sets over the harbour bridge.
Kitchen by Mike can be found in the VIP area called the HSBC Platinum club, offering a fine dining 130-seater restaurant, 250-seater bar and producing large scale event launches and cocktail parties for over 1200 VIP customers. With the ever-growing reach of our Events business, we see this as a great opportunity to align with such an iconic company and build a relationship to cater for their other events throughout the year.

THE FESTIVAL OF DANGEROUS IDEAS (FODI)
Australia’s original disruptive festival. 17th-18th September
FODI holds uncomfortable ideas up to the light and challenges persevering and difficult issues of our time, questioning our deepest held beliefs and desires. It presents a line-up of international and local thinkers and culture creators, inviting us all to immerse ourselves in ideas and conversations that encourage debate and critical thinking. Kitchen by Mike operates a pop-up canteen for breakfast and lunch with a natural wine bar in the evening serving 12000 ticket holders. We relish being the F&B partner with people that challenge that status quo.
