Physic Garden Classes

Kitchen by Mike

We are DELIGHTED to announce our program of Physic Garden classes for 2014! A few years ago when Mike was setting up shop here in Rosebery, he had the option of either reserving space for a few more car spots, or for setting up a garden. After realising the humble garden space could not cater for the thousands of customers who walk through our canteen, he decided to transform the space into a Physic Garden. Fast forward to today and the Kitchen by Mike Physic Garden is abundant with healing and medicinal plants – it has become our space to promote wellbeing through education of the health benefits of food which, for the most part, already feature in our diets. Joined by Anthia Koulllouros of Ovvio Organics and Byron Smith and Grant LaBrooy of Urban Growers, the Physic Garden will play host to morning, afternoon and weekend workshops including: setting up your own kitchen or balcony garden, preparing teas with medicinal benefits or how to prepare the most delicious dressings and sauces for your meals, and more! Please visit for our entire program and to book.

Kitchen by Mike

THIS could be your lunch next week!

Kinkawooka mussels and Pepe Saya week at Kitchen by Mike begins Saturday! If you can’t make it Saturday or Sunday, not to worry - from Monday to Friday we’ll have a new mussel dish on for lunch ranging from chowders to tarts and all those good things. Honey & Wine Dinner POSTPONED

Kitchen by Mike

It is with great sadness that we announce our Honey and Wine dinner planned for this Thursday will be postponed. The recent bush fires have had a devastating effect on our wonderful beekeeper, Tim Malfroy, and as such his produce has been lost. Tim's apiaries are located in isolated areas of the mid and upper Blue Mountains area including Bilpin; the heart of the region issued with bushfire emergency warnings these past few days.

Our thoughts are with everybody struggling in these times including families, friends, small businesses, local producers and of course our brave firefighters who are risking their lives for the wellbeing of others. SBS have published a great page listing some of the charities accepting donations to aid the bushfire appeal

We are postponing the event with a date to be confirmed shortly, sometime in mid November. Apologies for the late notice and we thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe and we'll let you know about the confirmed date soon.

Barista wanted!
